What you should know about our On the Road Hotel Package Tours

Payment:
A full payment must be received one month prior to arrival. Payment can be made via our bank account (account number upon request) or credit card.                   Fosshotel accepts the following credit cards; VISA, MASTER/EUROCARD, AMEX AND DINERS CLUB.

Cancellation:
Should you have to cancel your tour you must do so in writing directly to Fosshótel.
Your cancellation becomes valid only once Fosshótel has confirmed it in writing. 

Cancellation fees:
Up to 1 month prior to arrival: No cancellation fee.

Change of reservation:
If clients wish to change reservation after 2 weeks booking confirmation there is a 10.000 ISK changing fee.

Hotel vouchers and addresses:
All hotel vouchers and itinerary are send with email at least 4 weeks prior to arrival. Please hand in the appropriate voucher at each subsequent hotel.              Fosshótel reserves the right to change accommodation with short notice based on availability.

Vouchers can be waiting at first hotel upon request. Additional charges.

Hotel rooms:
All rooms are either double/twin or single. Triple rooms are normally double rooms with extra bed and only recommended for adults with child but not for three adults as this might become rather narrow.

Rates:
Rates are net in ISK per room (not per person) for the whole package, incl. breakfast and according to seasons first day.
One child under 12 years of age is free of charge if sharing room with parent/s

Included:
Accommodation incl. breakfast for the number of nights stated at each tour.

Not included:
Lunch, dinner, rental car, domestic flights, entrance fees, road maps and guide books are not included.

Satisfaction / complaints:
Fosshótel does it's best to make your stay in Iceland enjoyable. However, if you find anything unsatisfying during your hotel stay, please inform the hotel´s front desk staff immediately so they may rectify the problem. Please note that we cannot make any adjustments or give concessions after the entire tour if dissatisfaction is not immediately reported at the hotel in question.

Safety:
It is very important to keep in mind that Icelandic road conditions can never be compared with those in Europe or USA. Please drive carefully, especially on gravel roads. Always pay close attention to warnings signs regarding weather and road conditions. We recommend to check daily the weather forcast in Iceland (in English).
Before you cross non-bridged rivers always make sure you know how strong the current is and how deep the water is. Do not cross a river unless another car is in sight and could assist in case of an emergency.   Please note: off road driving is strictly forbidden in Iceland.

Sights:
Our itineraries are only suggestions and not full and detailed lists of sights to be seen on each day. Please note that it might not be possible to visit all mentioned sights at all times of the year. For example, very few or no whales at all are to be expected to see in North Iceland during wintertime.  We recommend the use of a good guidebook while travelling around Iceland.
